This is a scene from an area called Navtak near Solapur. It was late evening and we had just finished eating “hurda” (roasted tender and fresh Jowar Kernels) and while heading back from the farm, we saw this pleasant scene.
It is September and the occasional cloud cover and spell of rain is that of retreating monsoon in western India. Khed-Shivapur is an area in the far outskirts of Pune and so still has vast farms growing rice, vegetables and flowers.
